I want to use this to build a personal document management system &#8211; to scan all my correspondence and make a searchable, OCR&#8217;d archive.<\/p>\n<p>It also complements my wife&#8217;s xmas gift, which was a comparatively nice digital camera.  Since the Officejet can print 4800&#215;1200, it should produce some nice prints. <\/p>\n<p>But the annoyance is that the Officejet didn&#8217;t come with the required USB cable.  And it&#8217;s the one cable I don&#8217;t have.  Zette had one for her old printer, but I don&#8217;t know where it is.  She might have used it for her parents&#8217; printer.
