Non-personal Stuff

This is stuff about my job and my activities.

• I hired Zanteck Custom Design for some remodeling work of my home. It wasn't a great experience, and heres some of why.
• May 2001, I got a YOPY. I've been hacking on it a bit lately.
• As an Air Force student pilot, I flew the Cessna T-37B Tweet, and the T-1A Jayhawk.
• Occasionally people need to extract files from Install Shield "SZDD" packages under Linux or some other POSIX operating system. I stumbled across some code to expand these files and adapted it. Perhaps this file, ms-expand.c, will be useful to someone.
• Here are some notes I wrote on using the soundcard in a Packard Bell C111 under Linux 2.1.79: sound.txt. I believe that the sgalaxy.o module in the 2.2 series Linux kernels obsoletes this information somewhat.
• For a while I worked on a spreadsheet program for X windows called Maxwell's Lemur. This is superseeded by the Gnumeric spreadsheet.
• The USAF used to pay me to write software for AWACS.
• In October 1997, I made some modifications to nenscript. As far as I can tell, my release, nenscript-1.13.3 is the first new release of nenscript since 1992.
• In May 1997, I wrote the Gz plugin for The Gimp.
