“If you want to build a ship,
don’t drum up people together to collect wood
and don’t assign them tasks and work,
but rather, teach them to long for
the endless immensity of the sea.
-Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

I am a software engineer, a father, a recreational sailor, a maker, a thinker, a policy wonk, a citizen.

As a policy-wonk for the Office of the DoD CIO, my job is not just to develop policy, but to be a “change agent”.  I am an advocate for radical openness, for collaborative software development, and for Enterprise Services.

This blog is a place to strive to change hearts and minds in the furtherance of those things I see as progress.  Articles related to government activities will be generally dual-posted on my Intelink-U blog, unless the contents are too sensitive for the internet (in which case they will only be on Intelink), or too personal for Intelink (in which case they will only be on the Internet).
